Today non-essential retailers are allowed to reopen their doors with strict social distancing measures in place.
Non-essential retailers were ordered to close their doors in March in order to reduce the spread of Coronavirus.
Strict social distancing measures have led to large queues developing outside several retailers across Nottingham, including Primark and Stores Direct.
Customers started lining up from around 5 am to be one of the first into store since March.
Jane Slay, 57 from Arnold, told the Nottingham Times; “We have come into town to try and get some bargains – I’ve been sat at home for the past 11 weeks waiting for this day to come”.
“We havn’t been able to spend much being stuck inside so our family is ready for a spending spree,” she added.
